Where We Build In Cape Town
Each hall is different. We design the stand for the hall you are exhibiting in. The CTICC spans CTICC 1 and CTICC 2, linked by a skybridge, and every hall carries a different floor load.
Getting to the CTICC
- Foreshore site
Convention Square, 1 Lower Long Street, with MyCiTi BRT stops within walking distance.
- Airport transfer
Cape Town International is about 20 km away, 25 to 40 minutes by car, so plan crew arrivals around that.
- Build vehicle route
Build vehicles reach the marshalling yards via Heerengracht, off the N1 and N2. Garages have a 2.1 m height limit.

Most visitors arrive by car or pre-booked transfer, so plan stand staffing around drive-in patterns.

- Approval-based heights
Stands over 3 m, double-tier or roofed stands, and stages over 600 mm need formal approval.
- Floor loads
3,000 kg/m² in Halls 2 and 3, 1,500 kg/m² in Halls 1A to 4B, 2,000 kg/m² in Halls 5 to 7, 750 kg/m² in Halls 8 to 10.
- Hard deadlines
Floor plans approved 3 months before build-up. Permits and structural documents 45 days before the event.
We manage all of this for you: approvals, certificates, slot bookings and sign-offs.

What will it cost?
Every stand is costed upfront. Send the venue, the show dates and your stand size, and you’ll get an accurate cost and a design direction within 24 hours. The total is fixed, with no extras added later.
What is included?
Design, build, transport, installation and dismantling, plus the approvals and certificates the venue asks for. Furniture, AV, graphics and storage can be added to the same quote.
How far ahead should I book?
At the CTICC, floor plans need approval 3 months before build-up and permit packs 45 days before the event, so start 3 to 6 months out for a custom stand.
Can I reuse the stand?
Yes. A well-built custom stand can serve your show calendar for two to three years, and modular systems reconfigure for different stand sizes. We can store it between shows.
Can you work with a small space?
Yes. We built a four-metre-high stand for Afropari on an 8 m² footprint at SiGMA Africa. Shell scheme upgrades work well for compact spaces too.
